Women and adolescent girls in low-income countries face disproportionately high rates of HIV infections, with 63% of new cases among young people occurring in this group (UNAIDS, 2022). While PrEP is a proven tool for HIV prevention, awareness and access remain critically low due to barriers like affordability, misinformation, and gender inequalities.
